Child Protection Policy

We at Hebburn Town Juniors FC acknowledge that we have a responsibility to our Junior Members, to ensure that they are safe and protected whilst training / playing for the Club.

In order to address this, we ensure that all of our Managers and Coaches are checked in respect of any convictions / offences against children.

This check is carried out when a coaching course is undertaken and each Coach is issued with a Child Protection number by the League.

The Management Committee will be responsible to ensure that any Child Protection issues are addressed appropriately.

We operate an "Open Door" Policy in respect of Child Protection and actively encourage Parents with any concerns, or any Parents who would like advising on Child Protection issues, to approach Committee representatives, in the knowledge that this will be treated confidentially.

A separate full Child Protection Policy document is held by the Club and can be viewed by request to a member of the Committee.
