CODE OF CONDUCT
Code of Conduct for Players
Players are the most important people in the sport. Playing for the team, and for the team to win, is the most fundamental part of the game, but not "win at any cost," fair play and respect for all others in the game is fundamentally important.
A player should:
- Wear their full kit on match days, ensuring all their kit and boots are clean.
- Pay all weekly subs that are due.
- Please note that the payment of subs is not to pay for training it is to cover the running costs of the Club (i.e. league fees, payment of referees and the like).
- Make every effort to develop their own sporting abilities, in terms of skills, technique, tactics and stamina, by attending all training sessions and practising at home. Listen and learn from your Coach.
- Give maximum effort and strive for the best possible performance during a game, even if his / her team is in a position where the desired result has already been achieved.
- Act in a courteous manner both on and off the field, and respect the official's decisions. Conduct themselves in a mannerly fashion at all times.
- Always treat team mates and opponents with respect (no bullying or discrimination allowed). Always encourage and never criticise.
- Never use inappropriate language.
- Represent their Club with pride and show a good example.
- Know and abide by the laws, rules and spirit of the game. Make every effort to be consistent with fair play.
- Accept success and failure, victory and defeat, equally.
- Resist any temptation to take banned substances.
- Be on best behaviour at all times when representing Hebburn Town Juniors FC.
- Enjoy being a Member of the Club.
